The plaque says, "Dedicated to the memory of all the brave men and women who served in the armed forces of the United States during time of war or periods of national emergency."
The plaque says, "This modest monument is dedicated to the memory of those who gave their lives that our nation might remain free. Our debt to them can never be fully paid. May their supreme sacrifice guide us, now and forevermore."
The monument is about 15 feet tall and is made of local stone, in the shape of an obelisk. It is located on the backside of the bocce ball court. There is a small paved trail back here which leads to the point that overlooks the ocean.
