L'association AMVETS en collaboration avec la Fondation "Robert R. Mc Cormick" a dédié ce carillon, tel un mémorial vivant, aux vétérans américains qui ont fait le sacrifice suprême pour la Liberté.
Le carillon a été installé dans le Cimetière Américain de la Somme le 2 juin 1996.
Une citation dit que "Alors que ces cloches sonnent ... un repos mort honoré ... la liberté vit".

The AMVETS association in collaboration with the "Robert R. Mc Cormick" Foundation dedicated this carillon, like a living memorial, to American veterans who made the supreme sacrifice for Freedom.
The carillon was installed in the American Cemetery of the Somme on June 2, 1996.
A quote says that "As these bells ring... honored dead rest ... freedom lives".
