Long Description:
This coin operated ride is located outside the Lakes Aquarium next to the entrance to the Rockpool Gift Shop and the ice cream kiosk.

The ride is a steam engine
ENGINE NO.9 by Lantis Leisure
There are three buttons to press that make the sounds of a bell, whistle and hoot.
The cost of the rides are :-
50p for one ride.
£1 for three rides.

Lakes Aquarium
The aquarium that contains both freshwater and salt water aquatic animals opened in 1997. It was rebranded in 2008 and has a theme of the lakes of the world. It is now owned by the Spanish leisure company Parques Reunidos.

There are many interesting species to see in the Lakes Aquarium, it showcases local wildlife from the Lake District as well as exotic species from across the world.
It is a walk-through attraction that includes otters, sharks, rays, diving ducks and marmoset monkeys.
There is an underwater tunnel and a virtual dive bell that allows you to come face to face with some amazing underwater creatures.

There is a large pay and display car park adjacent to the Aquarium.
You can also arrive by boat on a Windermere Lake Cruise or even by steam train from the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway station.
