This church is associated with the convent with the same name. It was built between 1795 and 1800. Its style is Neoclassical and it was built mostly with a specific kind of stone, imported from Churuquella hill.
It has a single nave divided in four clear sections which are decorated by paints from artists who worked in the 18th and 19th Centuries.
It's part of the architectural heritage which made Sucre one of the World Heritage Sites of UNESCO.
