Feeding Hills was once the sixth parish of Springfield, MA. It became part of the newly formed West Springfield in 1774 and then part of the newly formed Town of Agawam in 1885. The Rev. Sylvanus Griswold became the first pastor of the church on November 10, 1762. The current church was built in 1835.
The 2.5 story Federal style church has a front gabled roof with a two stage steeple. The front is three bay wide with double entrances at the first and third bay. The second level has three windows, each flanked by black shutters. The exterior is covered with white clapboard. Numerous modifications and additions to the church were made in the intervening years.
