Long inactive, the Pierpont Cemetery appears to be a small family cemetery of but three burials, located along the sidewalk just outside a walled subdivision at 890 N Greenwich Rd, Wichita, KS.

There is definitely a cemetery here, given the sign and two "No Digging" signs that provide a phone number to the Sedgwick County Public Works. There is one headstone base, empty of the headstone whose whereabouts are unknown, and one concrete marker that is virtually buried, with nothing to identify whose grave it marks. If there is a third marker, it is not obvious. The maintainer of the cemetery's Findagrave page freely admits to making assumptions, but they do provide some data from public records and family history that Elmon (1828-1902) and Caroline Pierpont (1831-1903) owned this land, and they buried their son, Elbert Wallace Pierpont (b. 1859), here in 1872. Findagrave also notes that Mr. and Mrs. Pierpoint had two other sons, both of whom are buried in Texas, one with "Pierrepont" on his grave marker. Other than what's left maybe needing to be better landscaped, the property is well-maintained and in excellent condition.
