LEWIS FLATS,New Mexico - Ghost Towns on Waymarking.com

This ghost town has always intigued me as to why people would let things just run down.
I went by this place every school day for 10 years.
Our bus stopped at the next place up the road and picked up the local farm kids.
I lived at the end of the line and was the first one on and the last one off.
I worked on the first farm west of here called the Rissor Farm and also lived there for about a year.

This area has been a setlement and trading area since the Indian times and lots of evidence in the area to prove it.

When Interstate 10 went in all the travel went with it and these places just became a part of history.
