My comment: The Parc de la Bouvaque offers you almost 50 hectares of nature close to the city center of Abbeville, there are a few caches to allow you to go around while entertaining you.
Toponymy "The name of La Bouvaque would come from the fact that the peasants came to this marshy place to graze their oxen (from Latin bos) and their cows (from Latin vacca, goes about Picard)."

Features "This sixty hectare park is located in the suburbs of La Bouvaque and Thuison to the north of the city, in the Scardon valley.

It is organized around the ponds of La Bouvaque and the ponds of Prés Collart (former settling ponds of the Béghin-Say sugar refinery). A landscaped trail (about 3 km) around the entire perimeter allows you to observe the flora and fauna characteristic of wetlands.

Since 2018, the Park has hosted the creation "Coup d'oeil entre deux eaux", a series of observation platforms placed on stilts, offered by the association Art & jardins - Hauts-de-France (creation of Atelier LJN, collective formed by landscapers Stanislas Bah Chuzeville, Richard Mariotte and Arnaud Mermet-Gerlat).

Blue springs are visible in the park. It is a particularly pure water, resurgence of rainwater filtered by the plateau and the valley. The water contained on a chalky and white background makes a chromatic selection of sunlight. Part of the light spectrum is absorbed by the backgrounds. Blue light is retained by the upper liquid layers, which would explain the blue color. Other blue sources exist in the Somme (Fréchencourt, Eaucourt-sur-Somme). "

Caractéristiques "Ce parc d'une soixantaine d'hectares est situé dans les faubourgs de La Bouvaque et de Thuison au nord de la ville, dans la vallée du Scardon.

Il est organisé autour des étangs de La Bouvaque et des étangs des Prés Collart (anciens bassins de décantation de la sucrerie Béghin-Say). Un sentier aménagé (environ 3 km) sur tout le périmètre permet d'observer la faune et la flore caractéristiques des milieux humides.

La lumière bleue, elle, est retenue par les couches liquides supérieures, ce qui expliquerait la couleur bleue. D'autres sources bleues existent dans la Somme (Fréchencourt, Eaucourt-sur-Somme)."
