Constructed of stucco or concrete with a rounded roof. Above the double metal and glass doors is the name I. Ingrando, above that is a depiction of Madonna and Child. A cross is at the apex of the roof and there is a small window in the rear. On the middle step leading to the door is the date 1929.

From the Ingrando Family

During the great hurricane of 1900 Ignicio Ingrando and his wife Margherita lived at the corner of Jackson and Chenervert in Houston, Texas. As the hurricane began to bare down on the coast of Galveston, Great Grandpa Ingrando gathered his family including all of his children in the kitchen and they prayed to God asking the Lord to save them all. He promised God that if he would save the family he would have a mass said in their honor every year on or about the date the hurricane hit, September 8th.

So, for the past 118 years our family has gathered and attended mass together to celebrate the Lord for HIS grace.
