The organs It was on March 7, 17192 that the municipal officer of Tournehem bought the organ from the Saint André les Aires priory to protect it from the revolution. We entrusted the task of transferring the instrument to the postman Jean-François Chifflart and Thuillîez and on May 26 of the same year the whole was reassembled in the church of Tournehem.

Unfortunately, we do not know the name of the organ builder who built this organ. Nevertheless, we find twice inscribed the date of 1755 on the side walls of the sideboard. Do we have to think that it is about the year of construction or a restoration? In the latter case, the instrument dates from the beginning of the 18th century.

The organ still has a very large part of its original pipes because, despite a restoration in 1850 by Van Peteghem, the instrument managed to escape the bad restorations undertaken since the 19th and it could be classified as a historic monument in May 1939. The organ was restored from 1974 to 1976 by the Mulheîsen house in Strasbourg. It is particularly suitable for the performance of classical French music. Today several concerts are held each year in June and during Heritage Days in September. An association with the aim of bringing to life and maintaining the organ created since the 1990s "The friends of the organ of Tournehem".

Les orgues C’est le 7 Mars 17192 que l’officier municipal de Tournehem acheta l’orgue provenant du prieuré Saint André les Aires pour le protéger de la révolution. On confia le soin de transférer l’instrument au facteur Jean-François Chifflart et Thuillîez et le 26 Mai de la même année le tout était remonté dans l’église de Tournehem .

On ne connaît malheureusement pas le nom du facteur qui construisit cet Orgue. Néanmoins, on trouve inscrit deux fois la date de 1755 sur les parois latérales du buffet. Faut-il penser qu’il s’agit de l’année de construction ou d’une restauration ? Dans ce dernier cas, l’instrument daterait du début du 18ème.

L’orgue possède encore une très grande partie de ses tuyaux d’origine car, malgré une restauration en 1850 par Van Peteghem, l’instrument réussit à échapper aux mauvaises restaurations entreprises depuis le 19ème et il put être classé monument historique en Mai 1939. L’orgue a été restauré de 1974 à 1976 par la maison Mulheîsen de Strasbourg. Il convient particulièrement bien à l’exécution de la musique française classique. Aujourd’hui plusieurs concerts ont lieu chaque année au mois de Juin et à l’occasion des journées du patrimoine en Septembre. Une association dans le but de faire vivre et de maintenir l'orgue créée depuis les années 1990 "Les amis de l’orgue de Tournehem".
