This memorial can be found on the front wall of the town of Forfar's Town and County Hall in the centre of the town at The Cross. The bronze tablet was placed here in 1952 along with new stained glass windows and a service of dedication took place on Sunday, 14th September. The inscription on the tablet reads as follows:

'THIS TABLET AND THE STAINED GLASS WINDOWS IN THIS TOWN AND COUNTY HALL ARE DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE WARS OF 1914-1918 AND 1939-1945

"At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them"'
