NL: Lieteberg is een van de toegangspoorten tot het Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen.
In deze omgeving werd zand en grind gewonnen waardoor plassen zijn ontstaan.
Nadat de winning beëindigd was werd er begin jaren 90 door imkers een bevruchtingscentrum voor Carnicabijen opgezet. Hieruit kwamen weer andere activiteiten met betrekking insecten voort, zoals een insectentuin en een klein insectenmuseum. Verder is er een vlinderserre waar rupsen opgekweekt worden tot vlinders. Ook allerlei activiteiten met betrekking tot insecten worden hier georganiseerd.

Sand and gravel were extracted in this area, creating puddles.
After the extraction had ended, beekeepers set up a fertilization center for Carnica bees in the early 1990s. Other activities related to insects arose from this, such as an insect garden and a small insect museum. There is also a butterfly greenhouse where caterpillars are grown into butterflies. All kinds of activities related to insects are also organized here.
