The vase at the top doesn't fit into the monument snugly, and it was upside down when I visited. There were no obvious candidates nearby from which it may have been taken, and just could have been weathered over time.

The family name, "Farrell", is in relief below the calla lilies on the plinth. This one is interesting in that there is no sign of the dove or the tools, while the inscription scroll hangs from a sawn-off limb as always, reading:

Charles W. Farrell

Born
May 5, 1866,

Died
July 11, 1908.

---

A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.
Was the inscription legible?: Yes
