St. Andrew's Episcopal Church is built on land acquired in 1923. Construction began in 1924 and the debt was paid off by 1945. At that time the church was became a parish of the Diocese of Springfield.

On the lawn at the south west corner of the church is a resin plastic peace pole. On it reads the universal message May Peace Prevail On Earth in eight languages, two to a side. The languages are
