a distinguished member of the legal
community and an outstanding citizen of Halifax.
Graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1936 and
was appointed the first chief judge of the
Provincial Magistrate Court.
Judge Green was a leader in many community endeavours.

This square, close to the Law Court and part of the
city he loved and served so well is dedicated
to Chief Judge Nathan Green by the City of Halifax this
23rd day of September A.D. 1983.
