Joseph Charles Kleinsteuber was born in 1895. He lived to the ripe old age of 105, passing away in 2010.

Not much is known about him and his life, though he was witness from everything from horse and buggy to the space shuttle, two world wars, half a dozen minor wars, the rise and fall of Soviet communism, and the shrinkage of the British Empire.

Some of the events from 1895:

The first internal combustion bus, 1895 (Siegen to Netphen in Germany)

May 24: Republic of Formosa.
July 31: Sabino Arana founds the Basque Nationalist Party.
October: The Cosmopolitan.
October 22: Montparnasse derailment.

A little closer to home, he witnessed 6 reigning monarchs, 20 different Prime Ministers, 21 United States Presidents and 10 Popes.

He is interred in the West Lake Church of Christ Cemetery near West Lake at the intersection of County Roads 18 and 12 in Prince Edward County.
