St. Canute's Cathedral (Danish: Odense Domkirke or Sankt Knuds Kirke), also known as Odense Cathedral, is named after the Danish king Canute the Saint (Danish: Knud den Hellige), otherwise Canute IV, who was murdered in 1086 in St. Alban's Church, which was close to the current church.

The History of the Church stretches back more than 900 years. Over the ages, it has been converted, extended and altered both inside and out on a number of occasions. Despite this, the building is probably the most beautiful example of a gothic Church in Denmark.
The church today is 62 meters long and 22 meters wide. The church tower is 63 meters high

The church's most visited section is the crypt where the remains of Canute and his brother Benedict are on display.
