Descriptif

Winnezeele is a village 43 kilometres north-west of Lille, about 25 kilometres south-south-east of Dunkirk and approximately 5 kilometres south-east of Wormhoudt. In the churchyard, north-east of the church and near the boundary hedge is the Commonwealth plot.

History

There are now a small number of 1914-18 and over 50, 1939-45 war casualties commemorated in this site. Of these, over half from the 1939-45 War are unidentified.

Winnezeele est un village à 43 kilomètres au nord-ouest de Lille, à environ 25 kilomètres au sud-sud-est de Dunkerque et à environ 5 kilomètres au sud-est de Wormhoudt. Dans le cimetière, au nord-est de l'église et près de la haie limite se trouve le terrain du Commonwealth.

Historique

Il y a maintenant un petit nombre de 1914-18 et plus de 50 victimes de guerre 1939-45 commémorées dans ce site. De ce nombre, plus de la moitié de la guerre de 1939-1945 n'est pas identifiée.
