This solar power plant is named 'Solarparkplatz' which combines the German word for solar-power-plant (Solarpark) and parking-lot (Parkplatz). The are the power-plant is placed on serves two purposes: First there is enough places to park around 50 cars which are covered like in a car-port and second, electric energy is generated on the roof of the car-port.
The solar-park was opened in 2011, a time where electric vehicles were very uncommon and at the moment there is no place to charge your E-Car or even E-Bike.
The power plant is able to produce about 500,000 kWh of electric power which enough for about 1000 households.
