Vitus Bering blev født i Horsens i 5. august 1681, død 19. december 1741 på Berings Ø.

I Vitus Bering Parken kan du se to originale kanoner, fra Vitus Berings skib Skt. Peters sidste ekspedition .
Kanonerne blev ført til Danmark fra Berings Ø. En gave til Horsens Kommune i 1958 fra Sovjetunionen.




Vitus Bering was born in Horsens on August 5, 1681, died December 19, 1741 on Berings Island.

In the Vitus Bering Park you can see two original cannons, from Vitus Bering's ship Skt. Peter's last expedition.
The cannons were brought to Denmark from Bering Island. A gift to Horsens Municipality in 1958 from the Soviet Union.
