It is in the Labidoire house, medieval vestige of the ancient rampart of Saint-Astier remarkably restored, that the new reception point of the intercommunal tourist office has just moved in. This new space makes it possible to receive tourists and visitors in the best possible conditions on 47 m² on the ground floor. Do not hesitate to push the doors of this superb building in order to discover the many activities on offer and the sites to visit throughout the Isle Valley.

The intercommunal tourist office, with two reception offices in Saint-Astier and Neuvic, works in partnership with neighboring territories, tourist providers, the tourist offices of Mussidanais and Montponnais, the agglomeration of Grand- Périgueux, etc., to the implementation of an ambitious tourism project initiated at the end of 2014. Through these initiatives and the creation of the cycle route-greenway, the objective is to make the valley de l'Isle a leading tourist destination in order to rebalance tourist reception in the Dordogne.

Among the 21 actions of the tourism project, included improving the tourist reception of Saint-Astier, by a move of the tourist office in an adapted building. The Asterian office, which welcomes 9000 people each year and up to 200 people a day in summer, was relatively small with only 12.5 m², of which 7.5 m² were accessible without steps. The new reception located at 1 rue de la Fontaine, visible to all motorists arriving by the bridge, is much more imposing with a total surface of 130 m² including 47 m² on the ground floor dedicated to welcoming visitors.

C'est dans la maison Labidoire, vestige médiéval de l'ancien rempart de Saint-Astier remarquablement restauré, que le nouveau point d'accueil de l'office de tourisme intercommunal vient d'emménager. Ce nouvel espace permet de recevoir les touristes et les visiteurs dans les meilleures conditions possibles sur 47 m² en rez-de-chaussée. N'hésitez pas à pousser les portes de cette superbe bâtisse afin de découvrir les nombreuses activités proposées et les sites à visiter sur toute la vallée de l'Isle.

L'office de tourisme intercommunal, doté de deux bureaux d'accueil à Saint-Astier et à Neuvic, travaille en partenariat avec les territoires voisins, les prestataires touristiques, les offices de tourisme du Mussidanais et du Montponnais, l'agglomération du Grand-Périgueux, etc., à la mise en œuvre d'un projet touristique ambitieux initié à la fin de l'année 2014. À travers ces initiatives et la réalisation de la véloroute-voie-verte, l'objectif est de faire de la vallée de l'Isle une destination touristique de premier plan afin de rééquilibrer l'accueil touristique en Dordogne.
