Korenmolen De Hoop (Rozenburg, NL) - Windmills on Waymarking.com

Korenmolen De Hoop aan de Molenweg in Rozenburg werd in 1887 opgericht, ter vervanging van een uit 1658 stammende molen die was gelegen aan de binnenkant van de Kooilandsedijk. Die molen moest in 1887 verdwijnen in verband met waterstaatkundige werken aan het Scheur. De nieuwe stellingmolen is in gebruik geweest als korenmolen tot begin jaren 60 van de vorige eeuw. Na een periode van stilstand en verval heeft de gemeente Rozenburg in 1964 de molen gekocht om hem van 1966-68 te laten restaureren. De benedenverdieping is te gebruiken als trouwlocatie. In de voormalige molenaarswoning naast de molen is tegenwoordig de Oudheidkamer van de Historische Vereniging Oud-Rozenburg gevestigd.
De Hoop heeft een Oudhollands gevlucht en bevat 2 koppels 14der kunststenen voor het malen van graan.
De molen is onder andere op afspraak te bezoeken.

Flour mill De Hoop on the Molenweg in Rozenburg was founded in 1887, replacing a mill dating from 1658 that was located on the inside of the Kooilandsedijk. That mill had to disappear in 1887 because of water management works on the Scheur river. The new tower mill was used as a flour mill until the early 1960s. After a period of standstill and decline, the municipality of Rozenburg bought the mill in 1964 to have it restored from 1966-68. The ground floor can be used as a wedding location. The former miller's house next to the mill now houses the Oudheidkamer of the Historical Association Oud-Rozenburg.
De Hoop has fled an Old Dutch flight and contains 2 pairs of 14der artificial stones for grinding grain.
The mill can be visited by appointment.
