After presenting his plans to the city Parks Board and the Arts and Culture Committee Parker Harmon received approval for his Eagle Scout Project. Parker made and installed musical instruments in Pioneer Park after seeing similar instruments in Colorado, as he wanted to bring back the experience for the community of Park Rapids.
The instruments are made from PVC pipes. One of these is a PVC pipe organ, with flip flops used as mallets to hit the openings of the pipes. The other two instruments have hanging pipes that are sounded with rubber mallets.
