The church is located in a village originally known as Maryknoll, and is about a mile west of the original town of Old Monroe. The town of Old Monroe is located on the north bank of the Cuivre River.

This church was vandalized recently...over a weekend...photo of the you yuppies was plastered over TV and newspapers...Never heard if the scum was caught.

The tower rings nice with two bells...and this church has very little footprint on the web, as far as history goes.

Our church and school are situated in southeast Lincoln County and is about one mile west of the town of Old Monroe in the village of Maryknoll. Services were held in the area as early as 1860. At the time Old Monroe was a little village of thirty Catholic farm families of German origin.
