The sculptural group of the fountain is a work of the Jan Brokoff workshop from 1685-1687. It consists of a group of dancing children holding a bowl over their heads. It is crowned by a lion, which holds in paws the Klášterec owners (Thun-Hohensteins) coat of arms. Originally, until 1945, the sculptural group was a part of the Great Fountain, which stood in the upper third of the square. The Great Fountain also included twelve statues, which are now part of the Sala Terrena opposite the castle.
