The small, but iconographically very usunual Baroque Most Holy Trinity column (Sloup Nejsvetejší trojice), with God the Father sculpted as the pope and Christ is represented by the Crucifixion, can be found in the Chateau Duchcov garden.
The Baroque stone column, the work of Duchcov sculptor and stonemason Matthias Kühnel, was created in 1744. At the top of the column (trihedral twice graduated plinth) is the Most Holy Trinity: God the Father, adorned with a papal tiara, holds the Crucifixion (God the Son). Between them the dove flutters its wings (Holy Spirit). Under the sculpture lies in the cave St. Francis Xaverius.
The Baroque column originally stood by the road to Teplice, later it was moved to the back entrance of the Municipal Cemetery in Duchcov. Eventually, it was restored and moved to the Castle Garden in the 1980's.
