Description:

Fanny J. Crosby was a mission worker, who despite the fact that she was blind, wrote over 8000 hymns and gospel songs. Making her the most prolific lyricist in American history. She is known as both the "Queen of Gospel Song Writers" and as the "Mother of modern congregational singing in America". She also wrote more than 1,000 secular poems and published four books of poetry:
