"In 1497, the bishop of Autun yields to his archdeacon Julien Clerget, a native of Granges-sous-Grignon, a vineyard located on the territory of Alise. Find an old altar dedicated to Saint Queen and a so-called "miraculous" source which would have sprung where the head of the young martyr fell.
Julien Clerget built a chapel. Pilgrims flock. The building was enlarged in 1590 and 1613. The source, first isolated, was then integrated into the building, to the left of the entrance, with a locked gate to avoid any fraudulent trade and a trunk (still in place) to stimulate the generosity of visitors.
The installation of the cordeliers in 1644 turned the neighborhood upside down. The monks build a convent whose chapel is attached to the heart of the little Sainte-Reine chapel.
The old Sainte-Reine chapel disappeared during the Revolution, making way for the current terrace. Only the chapel of cordeliers, current Sainte-Reine chapel. The building, damaged by fire in 1796, was restored and refurbished in 1863 on the advice of Eugène Viollet-le-Duc and then at the end of the 19th century.
The miraculous spring gushes out at the entrance to the terrace, behind its 16th century gate, housed in a building built in 1931. "
