" L'ancienne église-hall à trois nefs, « hallekerk », détruite en 1918, a laissé la place en 1932 à un édifice néo-romano-byzantin, conçu par les architectes Louis-Marie et Louis-Stanislas Cordonnier.
Le Christ Roi est sculpté dans le tympan du portail central. Quant à la Vierge et les corporations qui l'entourent, elles s'inscrivent dans celui du portail latéral droit.
À l'intérieur prédomine l'Art Déco. Les vingt-trois vitraux retracent l'histoire de la ville de Bailleul et de ses illustres visiteurs.
On a gardé le côté romano (roman) avec les arcs et les voûtes en plein cintre. On a encore un petit côté byzantin avec les chapiteaux des colonnes mais surtout, un traitement très original de la brique. En effet, celle-ci par alternance de couleurs, par calepinage, par engrenage, par chape, dessine de nombreuses formes différentes sur les murs. Si on rajoute les frises bleues, en céramique et les couches de béton, l’œil ne s'ennuie jamais.
Le chœur, de petite taille, n'est que le prolongement des éléments déjà cités. En hauteur, sept petites niches qui hébergent une brochette de six saints, en mosaïque, entourant le Christ : Saint Augustin, Saint Dominique, Saint François, Saint Ignace, Saint Vincent de Paul, Saint Alphonse. "

Christ the King is carved in the tympanum of the central portal. As for the Virgin and the guilds which surround her, they are inscribed in that of the right side portal.
Inside, Art Deco predominates. The twenty-three stained-glass windows retrace the history of the city of Bailleul and its illustrious visitors.
We kept the Roman side (Romanesque) with arches and semicircular vaults. We still have a small Byzantine side with the capitals of the columns but above all, a very original treatment of the brick. Indeed, this one by alternating colors, by layout, by gear, by screed, draws many different shapes on the walls. If we add the blue friezes, ceramic and concrete layers, the eye never gets bored.
The small choir is only an extension of the elements already mentioned. In height, seven small niches which house a skewer of six saints, in mosaic, surrounding Christ: Saint Augustin, Saint Dominique, Saint François, Saint Ignace, Saint Vincent de Paul, Saint Alphonse. "
