Kytín Brewery (Pivovar Kytín), a small family brewery that has renewed the tradition of local beer production, is located in the small picturesque village of Kytín in the Prague-West county, not far from Mníšek pod Brdy.
The first mention of the village of Kytín and the brewery comes from 1321, when Kytín was founded and subsequently a brewery gradually grew here, which was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. The renewal of the brewing tradition in Kytín began on April 4, 2014, when a construction of a brand new brewery started thanks to Martin Pomahac and his family. The brewery was completed in early 2017 and together with restaurant was opened to the public on February 25 of that year.
Currently, several types of beer are brewed here for consumption in the local brewery restaurant, but also for free sale, delivery to specialized Beer shops and for other pubs in the region.
