Airport of Turku has been build 1956. In 2019, 452,927 passengers passed through Turku Airport, making it the fourth busiest airport in Finland. In terms of cargo volumes, the airport was the second largest in 2019 in terms of 3,846 tons of cargo passing through.
In addition to the passenger terminal, the airport has a cargo terminal and a rescue helicopter hangar. The Finnish Border Guard has a Air Patrol Squadron at the airport.
There is one asphalt runway (08/26) lenght of 2500 metres and 60 metres wide.
