A great many of the times that the Yellowhead Highway crosses over the North Thompson River, the bridge that does the deed will bear a Benchmark, as does this one.

This crossing of the North Thompson occurs barely a kilometer south of the little community of Lempriere. This medium sized bridge bears its Benchmark, 79C628, in the top of its west concrete abutment, at its northwest corner. Many of the North Thompson bridges hereabouts are monumented similarly.

Safe parking here is pretty sparse. The adventurous may choose to park at the north end of the guard rail off the north end of the bridge, east side; others will have a bit of a hike to the bridge.
