The tree and marker are located next to the Roy Gillian Welcome Center on the Rte 52 causeway leading into Ocean City.
the marker, which consists of a bronze plate affixed to a concrete block states:

1964 - 1993
Dedicated in loving memory of Francisco
Baez, who was killed while making road
repairs to this highway on August 10, 1993.
"Frankie" will be sadly missed by his mother,
father, family, friends and co-workers Crew
