A priest serves God, and continues the work of Jesus of Nazareth, who today is referred to as the Kristos, Greek for the word Messiah, or today in English the Christ. Dedicating his life to Christ, it is only appropriate for Christ to marker his grave.

"In 1922 Father Christian Schlefers was named pastor. He died suddenly in June of 1924. During his administration the present St. Joseph School building was erected and electricity was installed in all the parish buildings." ~ Church History
