"HERE THEY FOUND LIFE BECAUSE HERE THERE WAS FREEDOM TO LIVE" is a quote from a speech FDR gave in October, 1936 on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the unveiling of the Statue of Liberty.
The speech was centered on America's burgeoning immigrant population, and how they had come to America in search of the freedom to live life to the fullest.
The quote is particularly apropos to this venue, ads that is the role of the Armed Services - to protect that freedom.
