Im Kottenforst zwischen Wormersdorf und Todenfeld, zwei Dörfern, die zu Rheinbach gehören, nahe der Tomburg-Ruine, liegt ein ehemaliger jüdischer Friedhof. Es wird vermutet, dass er bereits im 18. Jahrhundert angelegt wurde, 1895 wurde er von der preußischen Regierung geschlossen. Dazwischen diente er der jüdischen Gemeinschaft in Wormersdorf und Ipplendorf für Bestattungen.

Es wird berichtet, dass nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg noch zehn Grabsteine vom alten Friedhof standen, heute sind nur noch drei erkennbar. Zwei davon sind noch leserlich und berichten vom Tod von Helena Schmitz geb. Bär († 22.03.1869) und Josef Schmitz († 19.06.1870).

Der Friedhof wird seit seiner Schließung nicht mehr gepflegt, und die Natur erobert sich das Gelände zunehmend zurück. Er ist über einen kleinen Fußweg von der Tomburger Straße aus erreichbar.
In the forest Kottenforst between Wormersdorf and Todenfeld, two villages that belong to Rheinbach, near the Tomburg Ruin, there is a former Jewish cemetery. It is believed that it was created as early as in the 18th century, and was closed by the Prussian government in 1895. In between, it served the Jewish community of Wormersdorf and Ipplendorf for burials.

It is reported that after the First World War ten gravestones were still standing from the old cemetery, today only three are still visible. Two of them are still legible and tell of the death of Helena Schmitz born Bär († March 22, 1869) and Josef Schmitz († June 19, 1870).

The cemetery has not been maintained since it was closed, and nature is increasingly taking back the grounds. It can be reached via a small footpath from Tomburger Straße.
