English: The area around Lindholm høje has over 700 graves - and 150 ship burials with symbolic ships made in stone. Futher more the archeaologists found signs of agruculture, tree and stone made roads and houses. The city nearby was abandoned around the year 1100 due to sand in the area. The site was found in the 50's under the sand.
