Elisabeth's spring is the 6th artesian source of the Podebradka mineral water. Podebradka is an alkaline-earth acidulous water, in which a large amount of carbon dioxide is found and belongs to the group of bicarbonate-chloride sodium-calcium waters, which contain a large amount of alkali. After proving the therapeutic effects of Podebradka by the Bohumil Boucek MD, Podebrady Spa was established. Spa has been running uninterrupted since 1908 and is mainly used to treat cardiovascular diseases in the form of baths. Tasty mineral water was also bottled from the beginning.
Due to geological conditions, Podebradka has to be obtained from a depth of approximately 100 m, so between 1905-2013, a total of 27 artesian wells were drilled in Podebrady.
