Depicted beautiful statue of mythic Aetolian princess Leda with the Swan (...Zeus) decorates fountain in the Spa park (Lázenský park) in spa town Podebrady.

The statue of Leda with the Swan, work of sculptor Bretislav Benda from 1961, is located in the northern part of the Spa Park. The author was inspired by the ancient Greek myth of Leda (a wife of King Tyndareus of Sparta), who was seduced by Zeus, turned into a swan. Their relationship gave birth to a beautiful Helena. Leda' myth gave rise to the popular motif in Renaissance and later art of Leda and the Swan.
