A dedicated tree in St Margaret's churchyard, Hunningham, to Ricenda Chambers (nee Lord).
A slate plaque at the base of the tree reads -
IN MEMORY OF
RICENDA LORD
A dearly loved daughter
sister mother and wife
so sadly missed
1961 - 2011"Ricenda worked in the BHDTA Office when it was at Bascote, Warwickshire from the early 90's until the office moved to Yorkshire 1996. She was always so helpful and cheerful and combined the job of BHDTA Secretary with her full time job as lecturer at Warwickshire College.
She competed in the single horse class with her quirky piebald horse, which was a real challenge, but she drove him with skill and panache.
She spent the last few years living in France with her husband John and two children Kim and Josh. She finally succumbed to cancer after a very long battle and died last Thursday night, aged 49.
Let's hope she watched the 2011 Nationals from above."
