Retiro is the main transportation hub of Buenos Aires megalopolis. Close to each other there is the main bus station of the country as well as the main train station and a metro station not counting with all the city bus routes. Not far, the ferry terminal with connections to Uruguay.
However, considering its importance, the bus station is not as big as one would imagine and definitely not hard to handle. Form here there are departures to all parts of this large country and to other countries too, like Paraguay and Chile.
Caution is advised in the vicinity, specially after dark, as the hub confines with a problematic neighborhood.
