In July 1875 the General Council took note of the response of the Compagnie du Médoc to its request that this Sunday halt become a station, and while waiting for it to become a daily halt. In its response the Company indicates that there are on average only 10 to 12 travelers using it, it considers that there is no need to open it daily especially as the line is already overloaded and the halt does not have a favorable track profile, the steep slope makes it difficult and long for trains to depart. The request is renewed, but accompanied by a trial period, in 18763. In the session of the General Council on August 30, 1878, it is recalled that the request for evolution to a station still has no response, a new wish is expressed for the opening of a station.

Before the timing is implemented, the station is served by only one daily return trip. On July 6, 2008, the station was served identically to that of the other stations on line 33 of TER Aquitaine.

The creation of a multimodal exchange hub in December 2016, with the arrival of line C of the Bordeaux tramway, confirms the return to the foreground of this station.

In 2018, according to SNCF estimates, the annual frequentation of the station was 34,218 passengers, while 29,202 travelers passed through the station according to SNCF estimates in 2017.
SNCF stop, it is an unmanaged stop point (PANG) with free entry. It is equipped with automatic machines for the purchase of tickets.

Access from the public road can be done in two ways:

Access from the south end of the quay: from the level crossing on rue Louis Fleuranceau, taking a path parallel to the railway Access from the north end of the quay: from avenue Charles de Gaulle, by means of a path arranged about thirty meters from the intersection with avenue de Terrefort.

En juillet 1875 le Conseil général prend connaissance de la réponse de la Compagnie du Médoc à sa demande que cette halte du dimanche devienne une station, et en attendant qu'elle devienne une halte journalière. Dans sa réponse la Compagnie indique qu'il n'y a en moyenne que 10 à 12 voyageurs l'utilise, elle estime qu'il n'y a pas d'utilité à l'ouvrir quotidiennement d'autant que la ligne est déjà surchargée et que la halte n'a pas un profil de voie favorable, la pente importante rend difficile et long le départ des trains. Avant la mise en place du cadencement la gare n'est desservie que par un seul un aller/retour quotidien. Le 6 juillet 2008, la desserte de la gare est assurée de manière identique à celle des autres gares de la ligne 33 du TER Aquitaine.

La création d'un pôle d'échange multimodal en décembre 2016, avec l'arrivée de la ligne C du tramway de Bordeaux, confirme le retour au premier plan de cette gare.

En 2018, selon les estimations de la SNCF, la fréquentation annuelle de la gare était de 34 218 voyageurs, alors que 29 202 voyageurs ont transité par la gare selon les estimations de la SNCF en 2017.
Halte SNCF, c'est un point d'arrêt non géré (PANG) à entrée libre. Elle est équipée d'automates pour l'achat de titres de transport.

L'accès depuis la voie publique peut s'effectuer de deux manières :

Accès par l'extrémité sud du quai :depuis le passage à niveau situé rue Louis Fleuranceau, en empruntant un chemin parallèle à la voie ferrée Accès par l'extrémité nord du quai : depuis l'avenue Charles de Gaulle, par le biais d'un sentier aménagé à une trentaine de mètres de l'intersection avec l'avenue de Terrefort.
En décembre 2016, la mise à disposition d'un Parc Relais dans le cadre du prolongement de la Ligne C du tramway de Bordeaux permet un meilleur accès à cette infrastructure
