"A igreja do Castelo é uma das duas igrejas da zona medieval da vila.
Esta igreja – que era a Matriz antes da construção da Igreja Nova – está efectivamente muito próxima do castelo. Rodeiam-na muitas e frondosas arvores, que lhe dão um ambiente sereno e pacato de muito reconhecimento. Embora seja de origem medieval, a traça actual deve remontar ao século XVII.
Nela merece destaque a torre sineira que, tal como em muitas igrejas da região, está separada do corpo principal do templo, ao qual fica fronteira, tendo acesso próprio pelo exterior. É constituída por uma nave e uma capela-mor e o interior é caracterizado pelo seu rico altar e talha dourada."

"The Church of the Castle is one of the two churches in the medieval area of the village.
This church, which was the main one before the construction of the new Church - is actually very close to the Castle.
