A worn and weathered milestone on London Road, Gillingham.

This milestone is situated on London Road on the edges of Gillingham and Rainham. It is located on the north side (coast bound side) of the A2 that runs from London to Dover. Its on the inner edge of the pavement outside a major car dealership and opposite a large Tesco Express superstore.
The plaques have long since disappeared from this stone, and the stone itself is badly worn and damaged by weathering and corrosion. I believe from the little i can find on the internet that this was erected by by the Chatham & Canterbury turnpike trust in the 19th century.
It is possible that one of the plaques read "London 33 Miles"
