As part of the national police / gendarmerie building program, a study to rehabilitate the Niort police station will be launched.

The President of the Republic has set the theme of the security of our fellow citizens as one of the priorities of his action. This priority implies a strong requirement vis-à-vis the police, who in return must be able to work in good conditions.

Also, as part of the 2018-2020 real estate program for the police and the gendarmerie, the Minister of the Interior announced an increase in financial commitments by 5% for the national police (€ 196 million / year over 3 years) and 9% for the national gendarmerie (101 M € in 2018 then 105 M € in 2019 and 2020). This funding will finance new large-scale real estate operations. In parallel with these operations, repairs and building maintenance work will be subject to a deconcentration of credits so that decisions are taken as close to the ground as possible.

This three-year program was developed on the basis of priority needs, identified at local level by the prefects.

In this context, the rehabilitation study of the Niort police station will be launched.

Dans le cadre de la programmation immobilière police nationale/gendarmerie, une étude de réhabilitation de l'Hôtel de police de Niort va être lancée.

Le Président de la République a fixé le thème de la sécurité de nos concitoyens comme une des priorités de son action. Cette priorité implique une exigence forte vis-à-vis des forces de l’ordre qui en contrepartie doivent pouvoir travailler dans de bonnes conditions.

Aussi, dans le cadre de la programmation immobilière 2018-2020 pour la police et la gendarmerie, le ministre de l’Intérieur a annoncé une hausse des engagements financiers de 5 % pour la police nationale (196 M€/an sur 3 ans) et de 9 % pour la gendarmerie nationale (101 M€ en 2018 puis 105 M€ en 2019 et 2020). Ces financements permettront de financer de nouvelles opérations immobilières d’ampleur. En parallèle de ces opérations, les réparations et travaux d’entretien immobiliers feront l’objet d’une déconcentration des crédits afin que les décisions soient prises au plus près du terrain.

Cette programmation triennale a été élaborée à partir des besoins prioritaires, recensés au niveau local par les préfets.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
