While most of the tourists make a beeline to La Recoleta, one of the most famous cemeteries of the world and considered a top tourist attraction in Argentina, some interesting tombs are kept in the shade in the equally interesting cemetery of La Chacarita.
Description:
Carlos Gardel is one of the notorious persons who is buried here. Considered the father of the Tango, he died in an airplane crash near Medellin, in 1935. His burial attracted an immense crowd of hundreds of thousands who escorted Gardel to his final rest place.
