Kirkeby Kirke - Stenstrup - Danmark - Medieval Churches on Waymarking.com

Kirken ligner de hundreder af andre danske landsbykirker men regnes for at være den ældste kirke på Fyn.
Kor og kirkeskib stammer fra omkring 1100 tallet.
Våbenhus og tårn kom til o. år 1500. Tårnet blev nedtaget og genopbygget i 1890.
Kirken fik sit første orgel i 1921.
2016 er der også opført en udendørs altertavle og alterbord.



The church is similar to the hundreds of other Danish village churches but is considered to be the oldest church in Funen.
Choir and church ship date from around the 1100s.
The porch and tower came about the year 1500. The tower was dismantled and rebuilt in 1890.
The church got its first organ in 1921.
In 2016, an outdoor altarpiece and altarpiece have also been erected.
