The Holy Trinity Anglican Church is part of the Anglican Diocese of the Windward Islands which is one of eight dioceses within the Province of the West Indies. Anglicanism was introduced to Saint Lucia when the British took control during the 18th century. In 1783 religious freedom was granted to the island.
Construction of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church began in 1830 and completed in 1832. The present church was built in 1894 to a design by architect S.T. Wenbork.
