This is a medieval 6-circuit labyrinth formed with edge pavers and a mulch pathway. It is 30 ft. in diameter and was placed as an Eagle Scout Project in 2011.

Centenary United Methodist Church
The Prayer Labyrinth

You are entering holy ground
Prepare your heart as you approach the entrance. The labyrinth represents our spiritual journey.
Pick up a stone that will represent the burden you are taking to Christ. As you enter from the
world, you begin your path toward the center, Christ. You cannot get lost in the labyrinth.
You always move forward.

As you approach the center, you approach the presence of Christ. Feel free to pause, to kneel or
to reflect on your journey. Leave your stone in the center. When you are ready, pick up another
stone, representing the burdens we are carrying for those who came before us to the labyrinth.
Turn and retrace your steps through the labyrinth.

As you leave the labyrinth, leave your stone-burdens behind. You are ready to enter the world
with the presence of Christ with you.
