"Playground in the Park" is located off N.W. 3rd Street in Elmer Thomas Park. This is a large area surrounded with a low wood slat fence.

The playground contains open and closed slide tubes, bridges, climbing walls, swings and other climbing and riding equipment. Above the playground items are cloth sail-like canopies to shield the children from the hot summer sun.
